WidgeIt Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
WidgeIt lets you design widgets for your iPhone and iPad. It has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the developer does not collect, sell or share your personal information.
Data that stays on your device
Your designs, photos, imported fonts, counters, timers, stopwatches and settings are stored on your device, in a container shared only between WidgeIt and its own widgets.
Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, Health and Location
WidgeIt asks for these only when a widget you made needs them. They are read on your device to draw your widgets and are never uploaded, sold or used for advertising. Health data is never shared with anyone. Checking off a reminder from a widget changes it in Apple's Reminders app. Location is used only when you ask WidgeIt to find your current place for weather.
When WidgeIt connects to the internet
- Weather: the coordinates of your weather locations are sent to Open-Meteo and Apple Weather to fetch forecasts, air quality and pollen.
- Speed tests: run only when you ask. They exchange test data with Cloudflare.
- App icons: names of apps you add to an app grid are looked up in Apple's App Store search.
- Web Data: layers you set up fetch the web addresses you enter, such as an exchange rate or news feed.
- Community: designs you choose to publish, with the name you give, are stored in Apple's public iCloud database, where anyone using WidgeIt can see them. References to your contacts, calendars and lists are removed before publishing. Reports you send include the design and your reason.
- Agent usage (optional): if you connect Codex or Claude, your sign-in is kept in your device's Keychain and used only to read your usage from OpenAI or Anthropic.
These services receive only what is needed to answer each request, and their own privacy policies apply.
Purchases
WidgeIt Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment; the developer never receives your payment details. WidgeIt checks your purchase with Apple on your device to unlock Pro features.
Your choices
You can change permissions at any time in the Settings app. Deleting WidgeIt removes everything it stored on your device. To ask for a published Community design to be removed, report it from the design's page or contact us.
Children
WidgeIt does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
